Domestic RV shells mainly use fiberglass reinforced plastic panels. These panels are widely used at present, but it also has many obvious problems, such as poor temperature resistance, easy aging, and low elastic modulus. Today we will introduce a new type of composite panel - Hangzhou HolyCore thermoplastic fiberglass reinforced polypropylene honeycomb panel - HolyPan, it has strong weather resistance, waterproof and moisture-proof, not easy to age, light weight and high strength, these characteristics are very suitable for RV shells.


HolyPan is a kind of panel made of PP through thermoplastic process. The middle part of HolyPan is a PP honeycomb core, and the surface is directly covered on the honeycomb core by a fiberglass polypropylene blended fabric through a hot pressing process. The PP honeycomb panels are light in weight, high in strength, stable in performance and long in service life, and are very suitable for truck bodies, RV shells, and building formwork.

The volume of the RV shell is larger than that of the general family car, and more panels are needed. The new type of pp honeycomb panel can reduce the self-weight of the RV shell without affecting the strength of the body, making the entire RV lighter and more energy-saving and fuel-efficient. At the same time, the new type of pp honeycomb panel is also environmentally friendly and will not release harmful gases such as formaldehyde during use. The honeycomb structure has a very good shock resistance and energy absorption ability. When it is subjected to external impact force, it absorbs and disperses the impact force, which can effectively protect the people and articles in the RV.

The surface of HolyCore fiberglass reinforced pp honeycomb panels can also be covered with a variety of skins, such as wood grain, marble, metal, etc., which also solves the decoration problem of RV interiors. The new thermoplastic honeycomb panel can be welded with PP strips, which can save the profiles(as shown in the figure below). This not only has no gaps between the panels, but also reduces a lot of costs.
